About Me: The Heart Behind the System

My journey into the digital space didn’t begin with algorithms or automation—it started with hands on companion care. Before I ever touched a website backend or crafted a content strategy, I worked in healthcare and community support, helping individuals with intellectual disabilities or elderly in retirement homes live with dignity, compassion, and autonomy. That time taught me the value of listening closely, responding with heart, and creating systems that actually support people—and those lessons have followed me into every role since.

A twist of fate (and a deep love for animals) led me from direct human care to managing a specialty pet food and wellness store. It wasn’t just retail to me, it was a place where I could educate pet parents, share in their stories, and help them find the right solutions for their animals. Not everyone loves retail, and most have a harsh environment and stereotype, but this was different, this was a place I genuinely enjoyed being and will carry the lessons my boss taught me wherever I go. Over time, I found myself not only running the shop floor, but also taking charge behind the scenes: from managing the inventory and systems to learning WordPress, refining our e-commerce operations, leading software changes and handling digital communications.

That’s where things really started to click. Not only did I enjoy the aspect of helping my customers gain confidence in their decisions for their fur-babies, I realized how much I loved creating smoother workflows, designing better user experiences, and helping business owners bring their vision to life online. I dove into social media and website management, eventually supporting a second business owner with content strategy and branding, as well as helping migrate her website to a Shopify store. My efforts helped her grow, but more importantly, they gave her space to breathe.

When I moved from Canada to the U.S., I knew I wanted to continue this work—supporting the helpers and healers of the pet world, just from a different angle. My goal now is to help pet business owners build systems that feel less chaotic, craft content that resonates, and create a digital presence that’s as warm and trustworthy as the care they give every day. And, as I go through my Bachelors in Business Management, I plan to continue growing my skills so I can continue to bring nothing but the best to those who dedicate themselves to helping our companion animals.

Outside of work, I recharge in nature with either a fishing rod or camera, hang out with my rescue pets, or get wonderfully lost in a good video game. I’m driven by curiosity, connection, and the belief that a little structure (and a lot of heart) can go a long way in helping your business thrive.

So what do you say?
Let’s work together!
